Applications
BASOFIX is a wet processed white Barium Sulphate with a nodular particle structure. Barium Sulphate is known as having the highest density among all the extender pigments. BASOFIX is acid and alkali inert and is insoluble in water. Its high refractive index, low oil absorption, easy dispersion, high purity, and low abrasiveness make BASOFIX an attractive extender pigment.
- Powder Coatings (polyester based and polyester/epoxy hybrid) giving excellent gloss retention.
- Automotive electro deposition coatings, primers, base & top coats.
- Industrial Coatings – coil coatings, high solids coatings, air drying finishes UV cured systems, can coatings, water and solvent based systems.
- Architectural Coatings – emulsion paint, water based & solvent based coatings and wood finishes.
- Plastic; offers excellent dispersibility in the polymer matrix. It is recommended for use in high-density compounds for special applications.
